Day 43
Now that my internship is completed I would like to post a little project I’ve been working on lately.

Day 42 or something
I cannot begin to describe the last, awful 24 hours of my life.
Last night I went out for dinner at this beautiful restaurant with the artists-in-residence. Drank bottles of wine, had delicious food. Drank more, and then more. Went to sleep. Woke up had coffee and read. Met Michelle around 1pm to take a boat to the Lido to take a bus to the non populated part of the beach to lounge until 6pm....
Day 41
Today is my last day of interning at the Venice Printmaking Studio! We just finished the final print in a 8 person collaborative project! Toronto in 2 weeks!

Venetian thunderstorm is lighting up the sky.

Loosing track of the days. Long days lately. Long enough that one glass of red wine puts me to sleep. Work-a-holic day yesterday, 10.5 studio hours since the residences were clearing up their work stations and preparing to mail their creations home. After a 9.5 hour day on Tuesday the girls in the studio and I went out for a birthday celebration of Francine, from New York! Celebrating her 29th (not really but that’s what we said) birthday I ran into her and Veronica on the way to the bar I was meeting them at. Day 17
Cold morning and chilly day. Blue jeans and my long sleeve striped shirt. Today began the last week for the three remaining residences. Although we all vary in ages, I feel like we’ve become quite close. I’ll miss our studio routines.

As for me, the 17 degree weather here in Venice has made me a homebody today. Under blankets and in sweats. I did pilates and ate shitty leftovers. Now; Rushmore, half a glass of red and some dark chocolate. I’m happy.

Yesterday there was a vaporetto strike, but I had no idea seeing that I don’t speak Italian. So at around 9am I walk to my stop and my boat is there, it seems a bit bigger than usual but whatever. It takes me to the first stop in Murano and since everyone was getting off (my stop is the 3rd) I figured I’d take a longer walk to work. So once I get to the studio, no one is there except...
